Harvey World Travel has insisted it is not attempting to become a Flight Centre or compete with its own franchisees despite opening an increasing number of head office-owned shops. Managing director David Rivers reassured agents at the retailer’s annual conference in Sydney this morning that it has no intention of opening stores close to existing members. However once you set foot on the continent you may be in for a rude shock, as many European cities are still as expensive to experience as they ever were. But you neednt strike the continent from your vacation wish list just yet. The Spanish island of Majorca offers all the glamour and culture of Europe for far less than youd expect. Its sadly seen as the poor cousin to neighboring Ibiza, but its a reputation thats undeserved. The Spanish port is just as beautiful by day, and just as exciting by night.
The best things about Majorca really are free. There are worse ways to spend a day than lounging about the islands pristine beaches and frolicking in the Mediterranean Ocean.

The EU has introduced a new legislation that gives airports the permission to install and use security scanners in any and all airports. You know, those machines that virtually strip you down before you fly?
They are already in use in a number of European and UK airports and they certainly have been getting a lot of talk since they were introduced. The European Commission has proposed to regulate their use just a few days ago which should come into force by the beginning of December, just in time for holiday travel to pick up.
Consider this scenario

Passengers and crew member (including pilots) will be selected randomly to undergo the body scanner treatment.
